Four Charged During State Liquor Authority Inspections Of Suffolk Businesses

Four store employees are facing charges following State Liquor Authority inspections in Mastic, Center Moriches and Shirley Friday night, June 21, Suffolk County Police said.

The four were all issued field appearance tickets on the following charges:

  • Angela DeCarmine, 40, an employee at Native Land Smoke Shop, 136 Poospatuck Lane, Mastic, for sale of E-Liquid nicotine to a minor.
  • Hector Gunzalez-Cortez, 42, an employee at Tropico Minimarket, 165 Main Street, Suite A, Center Moriches, for unlawfully dealing with a child.
  • Mushtaq Ahmad, 53, an employee of Valero Gas, 620 Montauk Hwy., East Moriches, for sale of E-Liquid nicotine to a minor.
  • Jose Urena, 39, an employee at La Placita, 58 Surrey Circle, Shirley, for unlawfully dealing with a child.

They will be arraigned at a later date.

The following establishments complied and refused to sell to an underage police agent:

  • Valero Gas, 1651 Montauk Hwy., Mastic
  • Coastal Gas, 230 Montauk Hwy., Center Moriches
  • Wave Gas & Pit Stop Convenience Store, 476 Montauk Hwy., East Moriches
  • Valero Gas, 125 County Road 51, Eastport
  • Deli Beer Smoke, 44 Surrey Circle, Suite C, Shirley
